Highlighting the divide, for International Women’s Day
To celebrate International Women’s Day at OTM, I designed animated and built a (very) simple platformer game with two levels.
The goal was to highlight a commonly experienced divide between a female and male exerience in the workplace. The first level is played as a male avatar, collecting pints and cash in our ‘paycheck’.
The game is interrupted and the player is given the option to play as a woman. Whereupon the game become significantly more difficult, think - more slimy ‘creeps’ and MUCH less cash.
